Aim

The SCQF level 7 award is designed for people in employment who wish to acquire data skills as part of their current job role.
1. Improve the data skills of learners to prepare them to work more capably with data in their role as data workers.
2. Develop learners’ statistical and communication skills as they relate to data science.
3. Develop analytical skills to gain insights into datasets and make data-driven decisions in a business or organisational context.
4. Permit learners to explore specialised areas of data science such as artificial intelligence or machine learning.

Objectives

We will discuss the mechanics of working and communicating with data, basic Python Programming, excel and Power BI for business decision making.
