We are proud to share that the DataKirk has been recognised as the Tech for Good Winner at the 2025 Social Enterprise Awards Scotland, organised by Social Enterprise Scotland.
This award is a meaningful milestone for our team, volunteers, trustees, ambassadors, partners and the communities we serve. It recognises our work to widen access to data and AI literacy across Scotland, particularly among communities that have historically been underrepresented or underserved in the digital space.

Digital inclusion is no longer only about access to devices or internet connectivity. It is also about understanding how data and AI shape opportunity, work, public services and everyday decision-making. Without equitable access to these skills, digital progress risks leaving people behind.
Our mission has always been clear:
To empower people and communities with the confidence, knowledge and skills to take part in the data-driven world.
This award reinforces that this work is both necessary and impactful.
Our Work in Action
Through workshops, training programmes, community partnerships and employer collaborations, we support learners to:
- Build confidence in understanding data and AI
- Gain skills that open new pathways into education and employment
- Strengthen digital participation and voice in local and national decision-making
- Access networks and opportunities that may otherwise be out of reach
The results have been encouraging. We have seen learners move into new careers, continue their education, mentor others and contribute new ideas within their communities.

A warm thank you to:
- Social Enterprise Scotland for leading a powerful celebration of Scotland’s social impact sector
- Breeze Digital, sponsor of the Tech for Good category
- Our partners and supporters who help us deliver sustainable community learning
- Every team member, volunteer, trustee and ambassador who carries this mission forward each day
- And most importantly, our learners, who bring talent, curiosity and ambition to every session
This award is shared with all of you.
The Journey Ahead
We are expanding our programmes, deepening partnerships and welcoming new organisations that want to advance digital inclusion and strengthen community-led futures. The work does not stop here. We are just getting started.
If your organisation is interested in partnering with us to improve access to data and AI literacy in 2026, we would be glad to speak with you.
