This summer, DataKirk embarked on a transformative journey—one that brought the power of STEM, AI, and Robotics directly to young people across seven Scottish cities: Falkirk, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Fife, Stirling, and Paisley.
Through hands-on innovation, teamwork, and critical thinking, we’ve witnessed over 100 brilliant young minds dive into the world of LEGO Spike Prime robotics, AI programming, biomimicry, problem-solving challenges, and so much more. Each stop along the way revealed a glimpse of Scotland’s bright digital future.

Real Results. Real Growth.
📊 What Did Young People Think? The dashboard tells the story clearly.
According to feedback captured in our dashboard:

Interact with our dashboard below;
- 93% enjoyed building and designing their robots
- 83% learned new coding skills
- 81% felt more confident about STEM
- 4.04/5 overall experience rating
“I am so happy to be part of Team CPU. We worked together as a team. It took some time but our robot sensor finally worked. I love it.” – Max, Robotics Learner

The students weren’t just learning they were thriving. From the Formula 1–inspired bots to the Escape Room Challenge, young participants in Fife, Elderslie, and beyond turned ideas into reality with passion and precision.
Tour Highlights Across the Cities
Falkirk – Igniting the Spark
We kicked off the tour in Falkirk, introducing youth to AI and robotics. Despite low ethnic minority representation in local STEM teaching roles (~1%), the energy and eagerness to learn were undeniable.

Aberdeen – Biomimicry to Bots
Across two dynamic days, teams like Copilot and Gemini created engineering portfolios and earned 100% satisfaction scores. Projects focused on logic, programming, and teamwork.

Stirling – STEM Has Come to Stay
In Stirling, we were met with exceptional interest and commitment. Young learners displayed an eagerness that proves STEM, AI, and Robotics have a permanent home in this community. The spirit, drive, and engagement were nothing short of inspiring.

Paisley & Elderslie – From Concept to Creation
From F1-inspired vehicles to Forklifts and Farm Trucks, students developed robots to meet real-world challenges like manoeuvrability, automation, and object transport. Their teamwork, time management, and ingenuity were remarkable.

Glasgow – STEM Meets City Life
In true “People Make Glasgow” spirit, our sessions were met with excitement and anticipation:
- ❓ “Is today the last day of the programme?”
- ❓ “When is the next one?”
The questions kept coming, proving we’re hitting the mark.

Fife – With the Vibe
At the Vine Conference Centre, 21 participants tackled Missions 1–3, sparking creativity and forming strong team bonds. We’re thankful to local leaders like Ifeyinwa Dada and Olanrewaju Adesina for supporting youth STEM development in Fife.

Edinburgh – Closing on a High Note
Our final stop was inspiring. With a focus on digital empowerment and meta-skills, we aligned with the Scottish Government’s strategy for growing data and AI capacity. Edinburgh was a fitting finale for a truly national programme.

What They Gained: Soft Skills & STEM Skills
The dashboard data reveals powerful growth:
- 99% improved creativity & critical thinking

Shaping the Future, Together
This tour has been about more than just tech. It’s about equity, opportunity, and belief. We’re proud to help close the digital divide and create early pathways for underrepresented youth into the world of innovation.
With every mission completed and every robot raced, we saw the power of confidence, collaboration, and curiosity on full display.
From the dance energizers to engineering portfolios, the 2025 STEM Summer Tour has been a powerful reminder of what’s possible when you give young people tools and trust.
